Josep Padró Piedrafita is a multi-faceted and independent filmmaker who works in most genres, formats and areas of the audiovisual sector. He has directed, written or been a camera operator and editor of online and TV programs, documentaries, and also in advertising or videos for campanies. He has filmed in countries such as Spain, Italy, Astria, France, Egypt, Usa, Canada or Portugal, among others.

In academia, he graduated in audiovisual communication with specialization in audiovisual creation. He is a documentary teacher at the El Plató de Cinema school http://elplatodecinema.com/josep-padro-documental/, a teacher of the Higher Education degree cycle at the ITES Ciape center teaching the planning, production, reporting and lighting units https://www.ites.es/about-us/, and a professor at the CCCB http://www.cccb.org/es/participantes/ficha/josep-padro/226963.

He has won numerous grants for short films and documentaries at regional, national and international level. His latest feature-length documentary has been sold on multiple international television channels such as Canal Arte or History Channel, among others.

Currently he owns the latest Sony PXW-FX9 and the sony a7r Mark 3 Cameras with a Zhiyun Crane 3s Pro and Crane 2 Gimbals, but also operates with blackmagic or Canon cameras (he teaches how to use these cameras at school). One of his main virtues is his restless attitude, which makes him always look for new challenges and projects.
